Topics discussed in these essays include some political hot buttons, like (1) the "don't ask don't tell" policy for gays in the military (2) gay marriage, (3) family values and the "meaning" of marriage (4) free speech and public space access issues (5) censorship (6) national service, conscription, and (7) shared burdens and "existential" problems with liberty interests. On this page the discussions remain at a certain academic and not too personal level.
